A patient looking for a clinic does not search for a clinic. They search for a problem or a procedure, usually with a place attached: a treatment and a neighbourhood, in Arabic, on a phone. Everything that works in clinic SEO follows from that one sentence.
One page per treatment
The most common structural mistake is a single Services page listing twelve procedures. That page cannot rank for twelve different searches, because each search is a different question with a different intent and a different competitor set.
A treatment page earns its place when it answers what a patient actually wants to know before booking:
- What the procedure is, in plain language rather than clinical terms.
- Who it suits and who it does not. Honest exclusions build more trust than claims.
- What happens on the day — duration, anaesthetic, discomfort, what to bring.
- Recovery — time off work, aftercare, what is normal and what is not.
- Price or a price range. The question every patient has and most clinics hide.
- Who performs it — the doctor, their qualification, their experience with this specific procedure.
Build these only for treatments you genuinely offer and genuinely want more of. Twenty pages for procedures you rarely perform is the thin-content pattern, and it drags the whole site down rather than lifting it.
The map result matters more than the link
For most clinic searches, the map block sits above everything else on a phone screen, carrying distance and a star rating — the two things a patient is actually deciding on. A clinic ranking fourth in the normal results is below a decision that has already been made.
| Signal | What to do | Effort |
|---|---|---|
| Primary category | Be specific: orthodontist, dermatology clinic, fertility centre — not just 'clinic' | Minutes |
| Reviews | Ask at the one moment the patient is happiest, every day, by one named person | Daily habit |
| Photos | Reception, treatment room, the team, parking — updated | One afternoon |
| Hours | Correct, including holidays and Ramadan hours | Minutes |
| Duplicate profiles | Find and merge them — extremely common and quietly capping you | One hour |
Reviews are the hardest and most valuable of these. A clinic with fifteen recent reviews usually outranks one with sixty from three years ago, and recency is something you control entirely.
The Arabic half of the demand
Patients in Egypt and the Gulf search in a mixture of Arabic, transliterated Arabic and English, and they use the words patients use rather than the words doctors use. An English-only site forfeits the Arabic queries entirely, which in this category is usually the larger share.
Write the Arabic as its own page, not a translation with the same structure. The questions differ: Arabic searches lean harder on price, on pain, and on whether the procedure is safe, while English searches lean more on technique and technology.
Trust signals a patient actually reads
Medical searches are judged on credibility more harshly than almost any other category, by search engines and by patients. The signals that matter are concrete: the doctor's full name, qualification and registration; real photographs of the actual clinic rather than stock interiors; who wrote or reviewed each medical page; and the full contact details including a landline and a map.
Before-and-after imagery is powerful and conditional. It needs documented patient consent, and advertising rules for medical content vary by country and by platform. Treat both as part of the workflow rather than something to sort out later.
What SEO and ads do differently here
Paid and organic work in opposite directions for clinics, which is why most need both. Ads produce enquiries immediately and stop when the budget stops — in our accounts clinic leads have run at 1.74 EGP each across 1,764 leads for Elite Beauty, and premium clinic conversations at 5.68 EGP across 387 for Le Rêve. SEO takes months and then keeps producing. Published costs per result are on the benchmarks page.
The practical sequence for a clinic starting from nothing: fix the profile and reviews first because it is fast and free, run ads to fill the calendar while that happens, and build treatment pages in parallel so that in six months the same calendar fills without the ad spend.
Answering is part of ranking
A patient who calls and reaches voicemail books elsewhere, and in a category where the enquiry often arrives as a WhatsApp message at nine in the evening, response time quietly decides the return on everything above. Decide who answers, within how long, and what they are allowed to say about price — before increasing visibility, not after.
A realistic first ninety days
- Weeks 1–2. Google Business Profile completed and correctly categorised, duplicates merged, review requests built into the daily routine.
- Weeks 3–6. The three treatments you most want to sell get a real page each, in Arabic and English.
- Weeks 7–10. Doctor profiles, clinic photography, and the answers to the ten questions reception is asked every day.
- Weeks 11–13. Measure: map impressions, calls, direction requests, and which treatment page produced bookings.
What our SEO work covers is on the SEO page, the clinic-specific view is under clinics, and if you want to know which three treatment pages are worth building first for your clinic, tell us what you offer and where you are — the answer depends on local demand more than on anything else.
Quick answers.
01How do clinics rank on Google in Egypt?
Mostly through local signals and treatment pages: a complete Google Business Profile with the right primary category, a dedicated page for each treatment you actually offer, Arabic content, and a steady flow of genuine reviews.
02One page for all treatments or a page each?
A page each, for every treatment with real search demand. Patients search for a procedure, not for a clinic, and a single services page cannot rank for twelve different procedures.
03Does a clinic need content in Arabic?
Yes. Patients search in Arabic and in transliterated Arabic, and an English page rarely ranks for an Arabic query. In this category the Arabic version is usually the larger half of the demand.
04How long does clinic SEO take?
Local and map results can move within weeks once the profile and reviews are handled. Treatment pages typically take three to six months to settle into position.
05Can we show before-and-after photos?
Only with documented patient consent, and advertising rules for medical content differ by country and by platform. Treat consent and compliance as part of the process, not an afterthought.
