Marketing for Dental Clinics in Egypt

Dentistry is one of the most local categories there is. Almost nobody crosses Cairo for a filling, which means your real competition is not every clinic in the city — it is the four clinics within a few kilometres of the patient. That narrows the problem enormously, and it changes where the money should go.

The map decides more than the ads

A patient searching for a dentist sees three map results with a distance and a star rating before they see any website. For most clinics, winning that block is worth more than everything below it, and almost all of it is free to fix.

  • Primary category: be specific. Orthodontist beats dentist if that is what you are, and dental clinic beats clinic.
  • Reviews, continuously. Recency matters as much as count — fifteen reviews from this year outrank sixty from three years ago.
  • Photos of the actual clinic, including the treatment room and the reception at night.
  • Correct hours, including Ramadan and holidays. Wrong hours produce the most damaging review a clinic can get.
  • Duplicate profiles merged. Extremely common and quietly caps how prominent you can be.

A page per treatment

Patients do not search for a clinic; they search for a procedure. Implants, orthodontics, whitening, root canal, veneers, children's dentistry — each is a separate search with a separate competitor set, and a single services page cannot answer all of them.

Each treatment page should answer what a patient actually wants before booking: what the procedure is in plain language, who it suits and who it does not, what happens on the day, recovery time, the price or a range, and who performs it with their qualification. Build them only for treatments you genuinely want more of — twenty pages for procedures you rarely perform is the thin-content pattern and it drags the whole site down.

Why discounting works against you

Price promotions in dentistry attract the patients most likely to leave for the next promotion, and they quietly tell people that clinical work is negotiable. The categories where discounting is least appropriate are the ones where trust is the product.

What works instead is a clear fixed price for a specific treatment, or a free first consultation that ends with a named next appointment. Both lower the barrier without lowering the value.

What paid campaigns should buy

Messaging campaigns outperform lead forms in this category because patients want to ask before committing: how much, does it hurt, how long, is there a payment plan. In our aesthetic and medical accounts, leads have run at 1.74 EGP across 1,764 for Elite Beauty and conversations at 5.68 EGP across 387 for Le Rêve. Published figures are on the benchmarks page.

Keep the radius tight. A clinic advertising across a governorate pays for impressions from people who will never travel to it, and every one of those raises the average cost of the patients who would have.

Before and after, carefully

Before-and-after imagery is the most persuasive content in dentistry and the one with the most conditions attached. It needs documented patient consent, and the advertising rules for medical content differ by platform and by country. Treat consent and compliance as part of the workflow rather than something to resolve after a post is rejected.

Pricing: publish a range

Dentistry is one of the categories where hiding price costs the most. Patients filter by budget before anything else, and a clinic with no numbers anywhere loses the comparison to the one that published a starting figure — even when the second is more expensive.

A range per treatment, with what changes it, answers the question and filters the enquiries at the same time. The conversations that follow start past the first objection, which is worth more than the extra volume you give up.

Answering is part of the marketing

A conversation that cost money and waits three hours has been handed to a competitor. Dental enquiries arrive in the evening, so decide who answers after clinic hours, within how long, and what they are allowed to say about price.

Saved replies for the five questions reception answers every day, and a rule that a price question receives a price, will do more for bookings than any campaign restructure.

The order of work

  1. Weeks 1–2. Profile completed and categorised, duplicates merged, a daily review request built into the routine.
  2. Weeks 3–6. The three treatments you most want to sell get a real page each, in Arabic and English.
  3. Weeks 7–10. Messaging campaigns on a tight radius, with answers inside the hour.
  4. Weeks 11–13. Measure map calls, direction requests, and which treatment page produced bookings.

The clinic-wide version of this is in SEO for medical clinics, the local mechanics in local SEO in Egypt, and if you want to know which three treatment pages to build first, tell us what you offer and where you are.

FAQ

Quick answers.

01How do dental clinics get patients online in Egypt?

Mostly from the map. A complete Google Business Profile with the right primary category and recent reviews decides more bookings than any campaign, because patients choose from the three results above the links.

02Should a dental clinic run discounts?

Rarely. Discounts attract patients who leave for the next discount and they lower the perceived value of clinical work. A free consultation or a clear fixed price for a specific treatment converts better without devaluing anything.

03One page for all treatments or a page each?

A page for each treatment you genuinely offer and want more of. Patients search for implants, orthodontics or whitening by name, and one services page cannot rank for all of them.

04What does marketing cost for a clinic?

Ads management is 10,000–18,000 EGP a month and social 18,000–53,000 on our published pricing, separate from ad budget. The highest-return work — the profile and reviews — costs nothing but attention.

05How fast must we answer?

Within the hour in working hours. Dental enquiries often arrive in the evening, and a patient who is not answered books with the clinic that answers.
